YaraLiva Calcinit 25kg calcium nitrate fertilizer

Clean, soluble calcium and nitrate nitrogen

YaraTera is Yara's range of fully soluble fertilizers for fertigation systems, allowing nutrients and water to be managed together for crop yield and quality. CALCINIT can be used with soluble straight fertilizers when preparing your own nutrient solution, including Yara's Krista range, or as part of an appropriate fertigation programme.

15.5%

Total nitrogen

Includes 14.4% nitrate nitrogen for direct availability and 1.1% ammoniacal nitrogen.

19.0%

Calcium (Ca)

Equivalent to 26.5% CaO, supplied in a fully water-soluble form.

1200 g/L

Water solubility

Measured at 20°C. Rapid overall dissolution helps produce a clean nutrient solution.

Why calcium nitrate?

Nitrate nitrogen

Nitrate nitrogen is directly available for plant uptake and supports fast, predictable growth response. It also supports the uptake of cations such as potassium, calcium and magnesium.

Calcium supports crop quality

Calcium is an important component of plant cell walls. An adequate supply supports cell-wall strength, crop quality, shelf life and marketable yield. It also helps maintain plant strength under demanding growing conditions.

Visible calcium-deficiency disorders may include blossom-end rot in tomato, tip burn in lettuce and internal rust spot in potato. Correct diagnosis should consider crop, irrigation, root health and environmental conditions.

Suitable for fertigation systems

CALCINIT is fully water-soluble and suited for application through common fertigation equipment:

Drip systems
Low-volume sprinklers
Centre pivots
Spray units

Compatibility: keep concentrates separate

CALCINIT can be used with water-soluble fertilizers, but it must not be mixed in the same concentrated stock solution with products containing phosphate or sulphate.

Important: Mixing concentrated calcium nitrate with phosphate or sulphate can form insoluble precipitates and may block fertigation equipment. Use separate A and B stock tanks, then inject them separately into the irrigation water according to a suitable fertigation plan.

Always conduct a compatibility check when water quality, concentrations or tank-mix partners are uncertain.

Product benefits

Fast and complete dissolution

Dissolves quickly without leaving residues, helping reduce the risk of clogging when correctly prepared and filtered.

High purity

Free of chlorine, sodium and heavy metals according to the supplied Yara product information.

Easy handling

White, free-flowing prilled material. Dust-free, non-cracking and non-segregating for practical use.

Low salt contribution

Low EC specification: 1.2 mS/cm at 1 g/L and 25°C.

Flexible nutrient programmes

Suitable for growers preparing their own nutrient solutions and using properly separated stock tanks.

Calcium when crops need it

A fully soluble supply is important because calcium movement into the plant depends strongly on water uptake and transpiration.

Safety, storage and bag disposal

Caution

Not flammable, but may decompose in a fire and release hazardous fumes. Keep away from combustible material. In case of fire, do not breathe fumes; flood with water and ventilate freely.

Personal protection

Danger: causes serious eye damage and is harmful if swallowed. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Wash hands after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product.

Storage

Store under cover on a dry, smooth surface. Protect from direct sunlight and keep away from heat, fire, combustible materials and incompatible chemicals.

First aid: If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing. Immediately contact a poison centre or doctor. If swallowed, rinse the mouth and contact a poison centre or doctor if you feel unwell.

Spill precaution: Fertilizer granules or solution may make surfaces slippery when combined with water. Collect spillage carefully and keep it out of drains and waterways.

Empty bag: Shake the bag to remove as much product as possible. Empty bags may be disposed of as non-hazardous material where locally permitted, or returned for recycling.

Frequently asked questions

Can CALCINIT be mixed with phosphate or sulphate fertilizers?

Do not combine them in the same concentrated stock tank. Calcium can react with phosphate or sulphate and form insoluble deposits. Keep the concentrates in separate A and B tanks and inject separately.

Does it leave residue in the fertigation system?

CALCINIT is designed to dissolve quickly and completely without residue when properly dissolved. Correct water quality, concentration, filtration, mixing sequence and system maintenance are still important.

Which crops can use CALCINIT?

It is widely suited to fertigation programmes for horticultural and other high-value crops that require nitrate nitrogen and soluble calcium. The actual rate and timing must be adjusted to crop stage, growing medium, water analysis and the complete nutrient programme.

What application rate should I use?

Use the rate recommended by your crop adviser or fertigation programme. A single universal rate is not appropriate because requirements vary by crop, growth stage, water quality, soil or substrate, climate and other nutrient inputs.

How long can an unopened bag be stored?

The current bag states 3 years from the production date when stored correctly, unless otherwise mentioned. Keep the bag covered, dry and protected from direct sunlight, heat, combustible materials and incompatible chemicals. Always check the production date and condition of the actual bag.

Where can I find the production date and batch code?

Both are printed directly on the bag. Keep this information for stock rotation, product traceability and any after-sales enquiry.

Malaysia pack information: The photographed product label identifies Yara International (M) Sdn Bhd as the Malaysian importer and distributor. Product and batch details should always be verified against the actual bag supplied.

Product note: Product colour may vary slightly due to photographic lighting or monitor display.
