YaraAmplix OPTINUE for Stronger Roots and Better Rhizosphere Efficiency
A leonardite-based humic biostimulant developed to support root growth, soil health and more efficient nutrient uptake through foliar spray or soil application.

What Is YaraAmplix OPTINUE?
YaraAmplix OPTINUE is a concentrated liquid suspension biostimulant for crops grown in soil, substrate or field conditions. It combines naturally derived humic substances from North Dakota leonardite with zinc and manganese to help improve the root environment and support nutrient uptake.
Unlike many conventional alkaline potassium humate products, the leonardite is micronised in water without chemical modification. This preserves a broad range of naturally occurring organic components, including humic acid, fulvic acid and humin, in an acidic suspension with a pH of approximately 3.5–4.0.
Key Benefits for Crop and Soil Performance
Supports Root Growth
Encourages root development to help crops explore a larger volume of soil for water and nutrients.
Improves Soil Structure
Humic substances support aggregation and a more favourable physical environment around the root zone.
Enhances Nutrient Uptake
Helps improve rhizosphere efficiency and soil cation exchange capacity for better nutrient availability.
Supports Stress Response
Stimulates natural plant processes associated with secondary metabolites and tolerance to abiotic stress.

Complete Product Composition
The declared composition for YaraAmplix OPTINUE in the Malaysia product training material is shown below.
| Component | % w/w | % w/v |
|---|---|---|
| Total Organic Carbon | 10.0% | 12.0% |
| Humic Acid + Fulvic Acid | 15.0% | 18.0% |
| Zinc (Zn) | 1.0% | 1.2% |
| Manganese (Mn) | 1.0% | 1.2% |
Organic matter components include Humic Acid (HA), Fulvic Acid (FA) and Humin. No separate guaranteed percentage is declared for Humin.
Why Zinc and Manganese?
- Zinc supports enzyme activity, auxin-related processes and the development of new tissues.
- Manganese supports photosynthesis, enzyme systems and normal plant metabolism.
- Together with humic substances, these nutrients provide broader support for root and vegetative growth.
Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid and Humin: What Is the Difference?
Humic Acid
Soluble under neutral to alkaline conditions and less soluble under strongly acidic conditions. It mainly acts around the soil and rhizosphere.
Fulvic Acid
Remains soluble across a wider pH range and is generally more mobile in soil and water.
Humin
The water-insoluble and more stable fraction of humic substances. It remains as part of the micronised leonardite suspension.

How to Use OPTINUE Effectively
Choose the Method
Use as a foliar spray or apply to the active root zone through suitable soil or fertigation equipment.
Shake Well
OPTINUE is a suspension concentrate. Agitate the container thoroughly before measuring and mixing.
Add to Water
Partially fill the tank, start agitation, add the measured product and then complete the required water volume.
Keep Agitating
Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the prepared mixture without unnecessary storage.
Suitable Crops and Growing Situations
- Vegetables and leafy crops
- Chilli, tomato, melon and other fruiting vegetables
- Fruit trees and perennial crops
- Field crops
- Newly transplanted crops
- Weak or restricted root development
- Compacted or low-organic-matter soils
- Sandy soil with limited nutrient retention
- Crops requiring improved rhizosphere efficiency
- Early vegetative growth programmes
Frequently Asked Questions
Is YaraAmplix OPTINUE a fertiliser or a biostimulant?
OPTINUE is positioned as a plant biostimulant containing humic substances together with zinc and manganese. It complements a balanced crop nutrition programme; it does not replace the crop's complete NPK and secondary nutrient requirements.
Can OPTINUE be used by foliar spray?
Yes. The Malaysia training programme includes both foliar and soil application. Recommended foliar rates are generally 1–2 L/ha, depending on crop group and timing.
Is OPTINUE the same as potassium humate?
No. Many potassium humate liquids are produced by alkaline extraction. OPTINUE uses micronised natural leonardite in a suspension concentrate without chemical modification, giving it a different composition and acidic pH profile.
Why does OPTINUE contain Humin if Humin is insoluble?
OPTINUE is a suspension rather than a completely dissolved solution. Micronisation allows fine leonardite particles and naturally insoluble humic fractions such as Humin to remain dispersed in the formulation.
Can OPTINUE be mixed with other fertilisers?
Its acidic suspension formulation can offer useful compatibility, including with certain phosphorus products. However, compatibility is product- and water-dependent. Always check current tank-mix guidance and perform a jar test first.
When is the best time to apply OPTINUE?
Use it early when establishing roots and vegetative growth, after transplanting, or as part of a planned soil-health and nutrient-efficiency programme. Follow the crop-specific timing table above.
